Industry Insiders Join Crystal Wright’s Portfolio Building & Marketing Workshop Panel in New York

Dscn0991Celebrity Stylist Agent Julia Heckler of Artist by Timothy Priano, Fashion & Lifestyle Photographer Greg Hinsdale, and AmberMag.com Editor-in-Chief Marcia Cole join the Industry Insiders panel at Crystal Wright's Packaging Your Portfolio Workshop in New York, on Sunday, October 21, 2007.

Three criteria must be met in order to make the panelist grade at a Crystal Wright's Portfolio Building & Marketing Workshop. A panelist must be in a position to hire an artist for a job, sign them to an agency or take them on as an assistant. Crystal Wright's October 21, 2007 workshop at Rouge Makeup Studio far exceed the students expectations when Wright brought in heavyweights from every corner of the industry.

In addition to all of the knowledge that is handed out, Crystal Wright was joined by Julia Heckler, a booker for Artists by Timothy Priano, fashion photographer Greg Hinsdale, AmberMag.com managing editor Marcia Cole, and industry veteran Mosi Singleton.

As part of the workshop, all four showed up from 12-1:30PM to school 15 of New Yorks up-and-coming stylists on the ins-and-outs of working behind the scenes in print, video, film and TV.

Julia Heckler, Booker, Artists by Timothy Priano

Pyp_panelist_julia_heckler Artists by Timothy Priano booker Julia Heckler began her career as an assistant buyer at Saks Fifth Avenue before she realized that fashion editorial was where she wanted to be. She started at Glamour, and moved to the market editor position at Seventeen before she became the Fashion & Style Director at Grace, Shape En Espanol and Fitness Magazines.  After 10 years in the publishing business, Julia decided she was more excited about production than fashion. This awakening landed her at Artists By Timothy Priano, where she became an agent. Julia sees an artist’s career from both sides, but in her capacity as an agent, she always puts her artists first.

Mosi Singleton, Makeup Artist

Native New Yorker Mosi Singleton has been a professional makeup artist for over 12 years. Since 2001, Singleton has been the Key Makeup Artist for the Stellar Awards. Mosi's work assisting some of the industries best Makeup Artists (Reggie Wells, Tony Marshall, Monifa Mortis and Gwynnis Mosby) is what brings her to class to teach a new segment on assisting and set etiquette.
