Fashion Stylist Tiffani Rae and Makeup Artist Uzmee Krakovski Work with JanSport on Collegiate Lifestyle Shoot

 
Shot at Chapman University in Southern California in November 2008, both Fashion Stylist Tiffani Rae and Makeup Artist Uzmee Krakovski had a great time working their magic on the JanSport models during the 2009 College Lifestyle Campaign. An enthusiastic Uzmee says, “Everything went on schedule during our two day shoot.  I did natural, simple makeup and hair for about eight girls and guys, taking about five to seven minutes for each one.”

Fashion Stylist Lauren Smith Works her Magic for Musician Javen Campbell Once Again

Back in June, we heard about Crystal Agency fashion stylist Lauren Smith who won big points after doing such a great job on styling musician Javen Campbell for his upcoming album “Keeping the Faith”. Well ladies and gentleman she’s done it again! Lauren was booked to work with Javen on his new music video.

 Oh no need to wonder or ask questions, the girl rocked the job! Lauren created five different looks for the video. She said she wanted to give Javen a cross between punk and hip hop type vibe. I'll be sure to upload the video as soon as it's out! I can't wait to see the end results!

Celebrity Fashion Stylist Hollie Williamson Works with Singer Pink on Looks For Her New Album

"So, so what I'm still a rock star,

I got my rock moves,

And I don't need you..."

Oh hey guys, sorry about that, but I cannot seem to get rock star Pink's recently released song "So What" out of my head. Lucky for us, she's putting out a lot more new and fresh songs on her upcoming album titled Funhouse, which hits stores October 28. And even though we have a few more weeks to wait, I got a sneak preview of her new looks for the CD.

Crystal Agency's amazingly, talented fashion stylist Hollie Williamson did a job well done with Pink's new looks. Hollie described her collaberation with photographer Deborah Anderson as, "We were aiming towards a vintage 20's type feel. It was a lighter look for Pink, but still over the top with feathers, sequins, and gems giving off that wild, showgirl vibe". Absolutely stunning!

I hope you guys can hold out till October 28 to see more of Pink's brand new photos!

Crystal Agency Team Goes Mission Impossible Style for San Diego Magazine

As a Midwestern girl (yes born and raised in South Detroit—like the Journey song), Los Angeles seemed like outer space. That’s why it was so bizarre yet reassuring, when I called up photographer Kevin Michael Schmitz for the first time, and to my surprise heard this, “248 area code? I thought you were one of my friends from back home.” I was shocked! I haven’t met too many Michigander’s in the infamous LA LA Land.

Anyways, that is beside the point, the wonderful, native Michigander photographer Kevin Michael Schmitz shot a wonderful cover and 11 page spread for San Diego Magazine’s September 2008 issue. Even though his team, which included Crystal Agency’s fashion stylist Hollie Williamson and make up artist Uzmee Krakovszki, put in some long hours the shoot was a great success. 

Kevin commented, “The theme of the spread was ‘License to Thrill’, which played off of the whole secret agent man idea. We were extremely adventurous, capturing pictures on cliffs and using hang gliders. It was an exciting set!”

Awesome work Crystal Agency. Mission complete!

Fashion Stylist Hollie Williamson Makes the Men of Topspin Look Sharp for the Cover of Billboard Magazine

Billboard Magazine is one of music's hottest reads in the industry. And July's cover, shot by photographer Larissa Underwood,  featured the men behind Topspin. Topspin is a media technology company that aids musicians in promoting themselves, with out being signed to a label. How great is that?!

CEO Ian Rogers, and co-founders Peter Gotcher and Shamal Ranasinghe all rocked Billboard's front page. The men were groomed fabulously by Artemis and dressed to a T by Crystal Agency Fashion Stylist Hollie Williamson. Hollie kept the business men looking  professional with suits, but also coordinated their red, white, and blue ties in the spirit of Independence Day.

Don't they look sharp? Great work Hollie, only more great things to come!

Another Client Made Happy by a Crystal Agency Fashion Stylist Lauren Smith Nails It!

Hearing positive feedback from a client is always a good thing. Recently, Crystal Agency’s fashion stylist Lauren Smith performed incredibly on one of her first jobs with the agency; as a result she got the satisfaction of receiving such praise. When talking with Lauren on the phone, I can see why Andrea Wilson of RKD Music Management was more than satisfied with her work. Lauren styled music artist Javen Campbell for his upcoming album cover.

Lauren summed up her styling tactics as, “You want to stay true to the client’s personal style, but also be able to add your own twist because it’s your work of art”. So true, so true!

Crystal Agency Fashion Stylist Hollie Williamson Styles Instinct Magazine's June 2008 Cover+

There's nothing better than a photo shoot that runs smoothly and is set in a beautiful location. Crystal Agency fashion stylist Hollie Williamson got just that, when she styled Instinct Magazine's June 2008 Cover at the beautiful Pacifica Beach in sunny Northern California.

Hollie described the location and experience as, "The beach was incredible with black sand, high ridges, a walkway that separated the actual beach from this beautiful valley with a lagoon, amazing trees, and field. It was absolutely breathtaking, everybody got along very naturally.  I couldn't ask for a better day or shoot".  Wow, I don't think it gets any better than that!

The handsome model was Savonn Champelle and the man behind the lens was Peter Brown. What a great crew!

Fashion Stylist Ashley Abercrombie Dresses Actor Craig Bierko for Statement Magazine

Writing for this blog has always been an enjoyable experience, considering I have the opportunity to be in close contact with fashion stylists and often get their inside scoop. I’m constantly learning what the job truly entails.

Recently, I gained some insight on dressing celebrities from Crystal Agency's fashion stylist Ashley Abercrombie. She said that when preparing a photo shoot for a celebrity, “I usually ask a celebrity's publicist or the celebrity what they feel comfortable in. Also, what they tend to stay away from or what they absolutely don't wear. This gives me a good insight into their personal style so I can go on from there”.

Ashley just styled actor Craig Bierko for Statement Magazine. If you are a big Sex and the City fan, you’ll recognize this cutie as Carrie Bradshaw’s brief jazz musician love interest, Ray King. However, currently Bierko stars in the new comedy sitcom “Unhitched”. Ashley kept Bierko’s look clean and classic with a standard collared button down shirt paired with jeans. Ashley said, “I wanted Craig to look great and feel comfortable while still looking like himself”.

Crystal Agency's Fashion Stylist Tiffani Rae Works it Out with Jesse Brune

It's that time of year again, time to start hitting the gym a little harder to get ready for that hot beach body. Bring out the veggies and start doing crunches to sport your best "bikini bod"!

Luckily, Instinct Magazine provided us with an exclusive interview with LA personal trainer, Jesse Brune. Brune is on Bravo's successful reality television series "Workout". And who do you think made this hunk look stylish on Instinct's cover, well none other than celebrity stylist Tiffani Rae.

Tiffani used a unique combination of a coordinating patterned shirt and tie that I absolutely loved! Rae stated, "It was a great combination with the vibrant colors of the food display set up behind Jesse".

Crystal Agency's Celebrity Stylist Tiffani Rae Gets Up Close and Personal with Professional Dancers from Dancing with the Stars

Ra Cha Ra Cha Cha! The television show Dancing with the Stars has become one of the most popular shows over the past couple of years. Who would have guessed such a simple equation where celebrities team up with professional dancers to compete in front of a live audience would be such a hit.

I never really got into the show, until I had the opportunity to attend two of the tapings myself. It was an AMAZING experience! The dancing, music, wardrobe, and mouthy judges made for great entertainment.

Anyways, what I am trying to get at is that one of our celebrity stylists, Tiffani Rae styled two of the dancers, Edyta Sliwinska and Karina Smirnoff, for Muscle and Fitness’s June 2008 Issue. The girls landed the cover and a four page spread inside. Of course Tiff had the girls in bathing suits to show off their rocking bodies. But she really made the girls pop with her Spanish inspired accessories from the jewelry line Septimo.

Fashion Stylist Melinda Tarbell Styles Genlux February/March 2008 Luxurious Editorial

                                 With summer just around the corner, we’re replacing our wool, bulky sweaters for sheer and sexy fabrics. Magazines are bombarding us with all the latest trends for Summer 2008. So it’s only obvious that Crystal Agency fashion stylist Melinda Tarbell had to do the same for GenLux Magazine’s February/March 2008 issue.

     Melinda interpreted the upcoming trends with beautiful sheer and romantic pieces. She kept accessories simple, but luxurious to create that little bit of glitz and glamour. The spring/summer editorial is absolutely flawless. Be sure to check out more photos HERE!

Fashion Stylist Janellica Ohanian Transforms Kate del Castillo on the Cover of Estylo Magazine

Latino mega star Kate del Castillo recently graced the cover and pages of the Feb/March 2008 issue of Estylo Magazine. And who better to style the shoot? Well of course, none other than Crystal Agency’s fabulous celebrity fashion stylist Janellica Ohanian.

Kate is extremely famous in the world of Spanish soap operas known as, “Telenovelas”. She is currently transitioning from the Spanish movie industry into LA LA Lands infamous HOLLYWOOD with her new movie “Under the Same Moon”. Janellica summed up her vision with this statement, “Since Kate is beginning to enter the market place under the Hollywood eye, I wanted to create a sexy, but classy image, with a touch of that Hollywood glamour”.

Former Survivor Star J.P. Calderon Lands Cover of Instinct Magazine March 2008 Fashion Issue

Crystal Agency celebrity stylist Tiffani Rae worked her magic for Instinct Magazine’s March 2008 Fashion Issue. In it, Tiffani styled J.P. Calderon, a former Survivor contestant and currently a model on “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency” show. The magazine features Calderon on the cover along with a six-page Spring editorial.
    Peter Brown, the photographer, ended up shooting more looks than expected, because he was so pleased with Tiffani’s selections. Tiffani really liked the Idol Radec short-sleeved shirt she put on Calderon. She said, “It is the perfect men’s shirt for spring and summer, because it is sexy, sheer, and light-weight”. Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Escape L.A. with Crystal Agency

    Tucked away between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains lies the elegant and beautiful Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barabara where celebrity couple Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott escaped for some R&R and a photo shoot for Statement Magazines February 2008 issue.
    Our celebrity stylists Melinda Tarbell and Tiffani Rae dressed the couple. Melinda worked with Tori and Tiffani with Dean. The night before the shoot, Melinda swung by Tori’s house to collaborate on her looks. “Tori’s legs are one of her greatest assets, so we showed them off in shorts and dresses” says Melinda. She also showed off Spring 2008’s runway looks using vibrant colors and floral prints.
    For Dean, Tiffani used brands such as Modern Amusement and Bread Denim to stand by his rocker style. “Dean’s strong Scottish heritage inspired him to collect kilts through out his travels. I saw him photographed wearing one in the past, and I had to have him in one!” exclaimed Tiffani.

Hair and Make-Up Artist Uzmee Krakovzski and Fashion Stylist Tiffani Rae Lend a Helping Hand for the Cover of Batanga Magazine Featuring Actor Rick Gonzalez

   

                           
    Crystal Agency hair and make-up artist Uzmee Krakovszki and fashion stylist Tiffani Rae were booked with photographer, Tatiana Botton, to shoot the cover of Batanga Magazine featuring actor Rick Gonzalez, who just wrapped up shooting the movie “Pride and Glory” with Colin Farrell and Edward Norton, due out in 2009.
    Rick Gonzalez has a street casual style, and the photographer wanted him to maintain his rough, and gritty look. To fulfill the photographer’s expectations, celebrity stylist Tiffani Rae chose a color palette of dark greens, deep purples, golds, and reds, and then grabbed shoes from Reebok’s new 2008 line, which she described as being “incredibly versatile”.
    Look for Tiffani and Uzmee’s bio on the contributor’s page of the March 2008 issue of Batanga Magazine. Congrats girls!

Across the Universe Star Jim Sturgess Teams up with Crystal Agency Stylists for Improper Bostonian Magazine Shoot

    Jim Sturgess who starred as Jude in the new movie “Across the Universe” recently sat for a photo shoot with Improper Bostonian magazine, photographed by Tatiana Botton. The masterminds behind the fabulous grooming and styling were none other than celebrity stylist Hollie Williamson and groomer Uzmee Krakovszki.
Jim’s publicist wanted his look to be “vintage chic”. Hollie pulled an Atticus cardigan, a jacket and t-shirt by Eubiq NY, P.S. Flyer shoes, and vintage clothing to complete his looks.
    Even though Jim is a big star now, the girls described him as a genuine and sweet guy. “He came ready to work and was up for anything”, says Hollie. Another job well done by the Crystal Agency!

Celebrity Stylist Amber Corwin Dresses Gilmore Girls Heartthrob Jared Padalecki for Photo Shoot

   

Remember heartthrob Dean Forester, played by Jared Padalecki, Rory Gilmore’s first love on the Emmy award winning television show “Gilmore Girls”? It is hard to take your eyes off such a beautiful face. Crystal Agency celebrity stylist, Amber Corwin, was the lucky one chosen to work with Jared on the cool casual shoot, captured by LA based LaMoine Photo Group photographer Larissa Underwood.

It was Crystal Agency makeup artist Uzmee Krakovszki’s fresh and clean beauty style that convinced LA based photographer John Russo that she was the right person to hire as the makeup artist for former Miss Panama Patricia Deleon for the cover an upcoming issue of  Vanidades magazine.

While celebrity and advertising photographer Bob Sebree rarely gets involved with who does the makeup, hair or fashion styling on his photo shoots, he makes one exception when it comes to Crystal Agency fashion stylist Jennifer Azoulay, and makeup & hair stylist Uzmee Krakovzski who he makes an effort to book every chance he gets.

USA Weekend’s Sept 21st cover featuring the top picks for “Most Likely to Be Breakout Stars” was no exception.
Jennifer Azoulay and Uzmee Krakovzski were there to support Bob, and make sure those handsome show stoppers; Lee Pace of Pushing Daisies', Zachary Levi from Less Than Perfect, and Bret Harrison of Reaper were dressed and groomed to a tee.
