Atlanta Workshop Panelists Named for Sunday, July 13th
Sunday, July 13, 2008 - Crystal Wright Teaches Portfolio Building and Marketing to Makeup Artists, Hair Stylists, Fashion Stylists and Manicurists in Atlanta, Georgia!
As we near my once a year trek to Atlanta, Georgia to teach portfolio building and marketing to makeup, hair, fashion stylists and manicurists, I wanted to take this opportunity to let everyone know how excited I am about this years panelists; Crystal Martin, Photo Editor Scripps Networks; Advertising and Fashion Photographer Keith Wright; and Camille Morrison, Fashion Stylist, Educator and Adventurous woman.
At all of my classes I invite 2-3 people I consider industry experts to participate in an hour long Q&A with the workshop attendees. It’s always a magical hour to witness the ah ha moments that come along with my students getting their questions answered by decision-makers who have the power to hire them for jobs, and the networking that follows after lunch. Check out Frank Moore of the Celestine Agency at the April 13, 2008 portfolio building and marketing class in Los Angeles.
These three people are clients, and colleagues whose work I respect and admire. Our relationships have been built first by having delivered on a promise to get the job done, next by developing trust over time, and finally by mutual creative respect. Quite simply we work together effortlessly. Never dropping the ball.
Crystal Martin my namesake, is a photo editor I call my sister. Martin is in charge of booking photographers, makeup, hair and fashion stylists for Scripps Networks projects. And we always seem to be on the same page.
Photographer Keith Wright, again my namesake became a client through my new relationship with Crystal Martin at Scripps. Keith’s work often leaves me speechless, but always inspires me to reach for the phone or my keyboard to comment on the beauty of what he’s doing. He is a joy to work with and a master at marketing himself and his work.
Fashion Stylist/Educator/World Traveller Camille Morrison changed my life after she sat on my New York workshop panel. Some 3 years later, it was Camille who would order the first Hair Makeup & Fashion Styling Career Guide as a text book for the fashion styling course she had created for AIU in Atlanta.
There’s more of course, but I have to save something for class! All three of these decision-makers have a wealth of information to pass on to July 13, 2008 students
